The Liverpool Business Services brand builds on the outstanding reputation of the college (Ofsted 2005) and its national recognition as a beacon college. Its links with employers is reflected with six centres of vocational excellence in different industry sectors.
The SkillWorks programme has enhanced the college’s relationship with small to medium enterprises and their specific needs. The college has responded by delivering a range of innovative programmes designed to improve profitability and competitiveness.
Its recent SkillWorks initiative focused on employers in the hospitality and tourism sector by offering superior customer value through a series of workshops and master classes.
Sessions in international bread making and plated desserts have been popular with employers who have benefited from learning the new skills through subsidised training.
